You came into my life via TV
Making we want to be a better me
You gave me laughter
That stayed long after
The credits rolled
All within the story you told

You touched my soul, my mind, my heart
Getting me through moments when I was falling apart
I will cherish every one of those times
You made me believe, I would be fine
Many characters you created, brought to life onscreen
While you followed your very own dream

You and I had never met
A chance that I will never get
I would have liked to have known the other side
The part of you, you felt you must hide
Beyond the laughter, in a soft spoken tone
I could see you must’ve felt very alone

For you my heart aches
You really deserved that break
A light that shined oh so bright
Disappearing into the night
Now may the laughter find its way to you
It has long been overdue
